Crossroads (Fairytale)
Crossroads
(Fairytale)
Walking the way
He longs for the end
Seeking his route
Doubting the course
He walks
Crossroads
Of ways
To choose
And to leave
To take and to live
Decided Undecided
Day after day
He walks
Crossroads long behind
Who knows where the way leads
How long it takes
Whether it is right
Whether he still should
What if the other ones
He walks
Convinced by day
Worried at nights
When he cannot see
Which he cannot stand
And on the day
After that day
He stops
And then he walks
Back
To the same crossroads
Wonders and fears
Next choice and a new journey
Starts all over again
Choosing and leaving
Taking and living
Decided Undecided
Day after day
He walks
Crossroads long behind
Who knows where this way leads
How long it takes
Whether it is right
Whether he still should
What if the other ones
What if he went back
Tried again the track
Because what if at the end
The previous one was right
Nobody comes
Nobody says
He doesn´t find the old route
And falls down on his knees
Wonders where was back
and where ahead is
Hopes someone will come
And help him and say
Which way is right
And that he still should
Nobody comes
Nobody would
Nobody says
Around the next corner
He will get up again
To go and to fear
To sometimes look back
Then choose ahead
To walk and decide
At many crossroads yet
Around the next corner
He will choose and leave
He will take and live
Decided
And he will look down the hill
The hill he has been climbing
And see different roads
From all different ends
Lots of roads with lots of crossroads
Some less steep and others greener,
Some by blue rivers
Others without mud
Some curving along
Others meeting up
None all the time uphill
None direct or straight
None even and none bare
So many leading there
