Readers' Experience

Even though (in Belgium) one could generally cope with English, the local language is essential in some situations (e.g. services, e.g. telecom, internet, etc.).

"I like the multicultural environment in Brussels, the mixture of nationalities and cultures.

When I arrived to Belgium, my knowledge of French was rather limited. Even though one could generally cope with English, the local language is essential in some situations (e.g. services, e.g. telecom, internet, etc.).

I have decided to find a hobby in a francophone enviroment - it helped me improve my language knowledge as well as meet new (French speaking) friends."
