"When I started to live abroad, the marvellous thing was that people I was meeting did not know anything about my past. It just didn´t count for them and they accepted me as I was at the present moment. My childhood did not have any importance, I felt immediately adult and responsible although I was only 22 when I left my country. I had to create everything in my life since the beginning and I loved that chance.

What helped me was a bit paradoxical. Although I felt like I did not have any past abroad, I had to accept that I was like a child again that had to learn everything because there was not much I could understand in the strange world around me. Being humble and curious and open helped me the most to adapt myself to my new life."
